Meet Our Executive Team

Josh Cady

President and CEO

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Josh Cady is a results-driven entrepreneur with a collaborative spirit who challenges the status quo in the school photography industry. Recognized as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Southeast, his deep focus and passion to constantly innovate sets him apart as a visionary leader who values progress over tradition. Inspiration from books, such as Adam Grant’s Think Again and Howard Schultz’s Onward, challenged his perspective and ignited transformative growth throughout the company, which led to a new path forward. As a leader, Josh believes “if you don’t change your mind frequently, you’re going to be wrong a lot.” He is more passionate about finding the right answers versus being the one who is right. By delivering a premier experience for seniors and schools, CADY’s strong Southeast base quickly led to a nationwide organization serving schools in the Northeast with expansion plans to the West Coast. Josh’s dedication to constantly evolve continues to drive CADY’s mission and culture to enrich the lives of students, schools, and CADY’s team members. Josh, a devoted husband and father of five, resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his family and two dogs. He is a four-time marathon finisher who aims to run all six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and earn the Six Star Medal.

Fun Fact!

When Josh was a wee lad, he would record himself pretending to speak to a crowd on a cassette recorder and then have another player that he would turn on with people cheering and clapping to add effects to his recording.

Stephanie Cady

Project Executive

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Stephanie’s passion for scholastic journalism began in 2000 when she first stepped into her freshman journalism class. This led to advising high school yearbooks for nearly a decade. She earned her CJE, and jumped over to the school photography industry to reach more schools, yearbook advisers, and student-journalists. Stephanie spends her free time with her husband and daughter through traveling, exploring coffee shops, and cooking big, Italian meals together.

Fun Fact!

Stephanie’s biggest weakness is saying, “no” to dessert.

Jeremy Cady

Regional Director of Business Development

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Jeremy grew up in the yearbook classroom. As a child of a family that has worked in the school industry for 30+ years, the school photography industry is in his blood. Jeremy is passionate about building relationships with school principals, yearbook advisers, and everyone else connected to the school photography process. Jeremy is a father of 3 boys and 1 daughter and lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. Jeremy is also a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan!

Fun Fact!

Jeremy has run 3 marathons and 12 half marathons. His goal is to run marathons all over the world.

Jaclyn Cannon

Chief Marketing Officer

Jaci is a growth-minded CMO. An investment banker turned marketing executive, Jaci focuses on organic revenue generation. She has extensive experience accelerating direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands with a proven track record of transforming marketing departments and energizing companies through process and product innovation. Jaci has been an executive in the photo industry for nearly a decade, but her main passion is school photography.

Fun Fact!

Jaci is a juggler: Balancing work and life. She and her husband are raising three young children.

Nikki Filling

Senior Vice President of Sales

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Nikki lives in Ocean City, Maryland after a recent move from Baltimore, before her time with CADY. She has spent the last 10 years working in the yearbook industry; as both a yearbook adviser and school teacher. Nikki enjoys meeting new people, traveling, and spending time in North Carolina with her grown daughter whenever possible.

Despite living at the beach, Nikki hates sand!

Michelle Jagers

Chief Operations Officer

Michelle is a true event photography industry veteran with decades of experience. She is an operational leader with a track record of improving efficiencies and reducing costs. Michelle is excited to join the CADY team as COO. She is passionate about ensuring exceptional consumer experiences and building up her fellow team members. Michelle grew up in Miami, Florida, and is a proud graduate of Florida State University.

Fun Fact!

Despite being a native Floridian, Michelle does not eat seafood.

Paul Kennedy

Paul Kennedy is an innovative CTO with a long history of working in technology. Since joining CADY in 2012, he has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the company’s technological landscape, driving forward-thinking initiatives and advancements.

Paul is an competitive pickleball player that loves spending time outdoors.

Philip Kennedy

Chief Sales Officer

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Philip has been in sales and sales leadership for 27 years. His passions involve recruiting amazing people, building high-performing teams, and helping launch CADY into new markets. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and 3 kids, where he enjoys traveling and all things outdoors; including distance running, hiking, mountain biking, and boating. In the fall you can find him in Athens cheering on the GA Bulldogs with his family.

Philip is a notoriously fast eater.

Dawn Agueros

Vice President of People & Culture

Dawn lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with her husband and their spoiled Havanese named Chewbacca. They have 1 son who attends Kennesaw State University. Dawn loves to play competitive tennis and pickleball, enjoys a good comedy, and cannot turn down chips & dip. Dawn is a seasoned people leader with an extensive background in hospitality and entertainment. She lives by the motto “people first.”

Dawn is obsessed with watching hummingbirds on her back deck.

Carlos Alvarez

Area Director

Florida

Carlos, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, found his home in the Tampa Bay area during his childhood. His love for photography bloomed during his post-high school years, and it’s been a passion ever since. Carlos thrives in collaborative environments, enjoying teamwork and empowering others to reach their full potential. A sports enthusiast, he’s equally passionate about baseball, surfing, football, soccer, and more.

Fun Fact!

Carlos used to travel all over the nation playing in Paintball tournaments and a couple of World Cups.

Justin Arnone

Product Director

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Justin relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2023 after many years in South Florida. A lifelong educator, Justin worked in public education for 17 years as a classroom teacher, school administrator, and supporting roles. Justin has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and loves how his role with CADY allows him to support schools and yearbook programs. In his downtime, he loves to travel; crossing the globe or exploring locally are both exciting!

In 2021, Justin was selected as Palm Beach County’s Assistant Principal of the Year.

Samantha Jo Berry

Director of School Experience

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Samantha is passionate about journalism education and helping students find courage in creativity. She channeled this passion into helping students create award-winning publications during her 12-year career as a journalism teacher. When she’s not inspiring the next generation of creative minds, she enjoys reading books, attending brunch, traveling, and trying every coffee shop she comes across.

Fun Fact!

Samantha grew up raising goats and pigs and was an active member of the Future Farmers of America.

Ashley Blackwell

Regional Director of

Georgia

Ashley lives in Woodstock, Georgia with her husband and 2 kids, Blair and Baylor. She is a former middle and high school teacher, as well as a former yearbook representative. Outside of the office she loves spending time with her friends and family, reading, and shopping on Amazon.

Ashley twirled baton her whole life. She was a majorette in high school and on Danceline in college.

Meredith Booz

Meredith Booz has enjoyed working in the photo industry for the past 30 years. She lives in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Bob, and their black lab Stella. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending family time with her 2 adult daughters, reading, and cheering on the Philadelphia Union.

Meredith loves to travel and has it on her bucket list to visit all 50 states.

Calvin Cady

Calvin brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record to his role as Senior Director of Operations. Calvin’s career is marked by his ability to streamline processes, enhance operational performance, and lead cross-functional teams toward achieving key objectives. Calvin enjoys a balanced life with his wife Elisabeth, and their dog Hunter. When he’s not working, he enjoys quality time with his family and exploring the outdoors.

Jordan Carter

Product Director

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Jordan graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2013 with a Bachelor of Computer and Information Science with a double major. He is passionate about technology, always finding ways to streamline processes to make his colleagues’ lives easier while supporting company growth. When he isn’t working, you’ll find him spending time with his wife Krysta, daughter Georgie, and golden retriever Remi.

Jordan has lived in five countries, traveled to over thirty, and been to 6 of the 7 continents of the world.

Alex Castro

Customer Experience

Alex has been a leader in customer experience since 2014, with a strong background across various industries. As Director of Customer Experience, he is passionate about identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Always eager to understand how things work, Alex thrives on making processes more efficient. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids at baseball games.

Alex is bilingual in English and Spanish and is always trying to perfect his taco-making skills.

Brian Cheek

Regional Director of Sales

Texas

Brian began his career with the Balfour Company as a sales representative and later became the owner of the Balfour Dallas territory in 2015. In 2022, he joined the Jostens corporate team to work with school districts across the nation. Brian joins CADY as the Regional Director of Sales in Texas. Brian is a natural relationship builder and will continue to make lasting partnerships along the way.

Brian is an outdoorsman, bowhunter, artist, and has never and will never run a marathon.

John Estes

Senior Director of Engineering & Architecture

CADY Innovation Center, Atlanta

As a technology leader, John bridges the gap between business needs and scalable technology solutions. John believes that fostering collaboration in fast-paced environments is the key to achieving great things. Empowering the individuals around him is vital to both his personal journey and career. John lives in Milton, GA and is married to his high school sweetheart, Christie. They have two amazing teenage kids: Miller and Annabella.

Brynda Everman

Brynda brings an energizing blend of creativity, strategy, and serious get-it-done energy to the CADY team. With a background spanning education, direct sales, marketing, instructional design, and product development, she thrives in her role as a Product Director. She’s passionate about “Dreaming the Dream” to create solutions that simplify complexity and help people shine.

Fun Fact!

Brynda is an avid home cook with a cookbook collection that’s getting out of hand. Ask nicely, and you just might score her famous fudge brownie recipe.

Jennifer Fitzgerald

Vice President of Product Marketing & Digital Strategy

Jennifer is a native Floridian and a proud graduate of the University of Central Florida. Jen has worked in the education photography space her entire career. Leveraging her experience with graduation, Santa Claus, and marathon photography; Jen is thrilled to be a part of the dynamic marketing team at CADY. She loves cooking big meals for her family and friends, and almost always has a deck of cards with her in case someone wants to play cards.

Jen has to start each day by completing the daily New York Times puzzles and games.

Ashley Herbert

Area Director

East Florida

Ashley oversees operations, team management, and customer satisfaction across studios. With over 10 years of experience in sales and client relations, Ashley brings a wealth of expertise to the team. Before joining CADY, Ashley held key positions at European Wax Center, where she led successful projects, improved efficiency, and drove revenue growth. With her proven track record, she ensures every studio operates at its highest potential.

Fun Fact!

Ashley is a dedicated animal lover and has volunteered at various animal shelters and wildlife rescue centers over the years.

Ginny Hitt

Ginny lives in Oviedo, Florida with her husband and 2 children, Dalton and Anderson. Ginny is a former educator with a master’s degree in educational leadership. Her passion for school spirit and school leadership drives Ginny in her professional career.

Fun Fact!

Ginny coached cheerleading at the University of Central Florida for 20 years and has been a part of the coaching staff that lead the team to multiple Division IA National Cheerleading Championships. Go Knights! Charge On!

Joseph Jalbert

With a background in TV & film, medical device manufacturing, and customer success, Joe’s process improvement outlook helps the CADY Production Team exceed our customer’s expectations. Joe lives with his wife, daughter, and dog Sadie in Woodstock, Georgia. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, watching New England sports teams, and exploring the Atlanta area with his family.

Fun Fact!

Joe was both the H.S. Quarterback and “Joey Zuko” in the school’s rendition of Grease. Many of his Offensive Linemen were T-Birds as well.

Sasha Lawson

Sasha is a proud Double Dawg from the University of Georgia, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UGA’s Grady College of Mass Communication & Journalism. She began her journey at CADY in 2015, just a few days after graduating high school. Sasha is passionate about people and thrives on discovering innovative ways to support her team’s success. In her free time, Sasha enjoys going to concerts and reading.

Sasha loves listening to music and has a secret dream of one day becoming a professional DJ.

Trey Morgan

Trey has been in the scholastic journalism business for 15 years. In 2009, Trey started his career as a Yearbook Representative with Herff Jones and transitioned to sales management in 2014. Trey is a relationship builder and coach at heart. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Mary and his two sons, Tucker and Miles.

Branden Nguyen

As Director of Finance for CADY, Branden is committed to delivering accurate and effective financial reporting and analysis for all. He prioritizes clear and concise communication to support strategic decision-making. A proud Georgia State University alumnus, Branden holds a BBA in Finance and Managerial Sciences. Since graduating, he has been working in the school photography industry and has witnessed the evolution of school photography, in part driven by CADY.

Branden and his wife live on a farm with his in-laws, 3 Goats, 2 Horses, 7 Chickens, 2 Dogs, and 1 Cat.

Chris Pittman

Area Director

Texas

Chris is a former photojournalist for a newspaper who found his passion for seniors, sports, and events. He is passionate about training and mentoring both new and experienced photographers. He believes in delivering a premier experience from the moment a client steps in the door. Outside of CADY, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Laura, and their two kids. He’s also an assistant coach on his son’s competitive clay target shotgun team.

Fun Fact!

Chris loves to cook. His career “Plan B” was to go to culinary school if photography didn’t work out. He’s happy that photography stuck 🙂

Mike Putnam

Mike found his love for photography when he attended a photo class in 8th grade. He eventually became the Photo Editor for his school’s yearbook. He started working in a photography studio in 2004, photographing high school seniors down to preschoolers. He is dedicated to the success of his teams and delivering an unmatched product. Mike loves spending time at home with his wife Kimberli, and their 4 beautiful kids.

Mike is an avid outdoors enthusiast. He loves spending time in the mountains; camping, fishing, and hiking.

Matt Russell

Senior Business Development Representative

Allen, Texas

Matt Russell joins CADY after a 29-year career in public education, where he held various roles, including teacher, 504 coordinator, and principal. He served as an administrator at Allen High School and Principal of Ford Middle School before returning to Allen High School, Texas’s largest high school (5,200 students in grades 10-12), as Principal for five years. Matt lives in Allen with his wife of 30 years, Kendra.

In his leisure time, Matt enjoys traveling, camping, fly fishing, and hunting.

Crystal Scott

Area Director

Georgia

Originally from Florida, Crystal moved to Georgia when she was 12 and now calls the Peach State home. From a young age she picked up a camera and never put it down, taking many courses to further her photography knowledge. Crystal has been in the school photography business for nearly a decade and is passionate about helping her team grow their potential. She loves spending time with her 13-year-old pitbull, Gusto; and going for hikes.

Crystal is multi-talented – in addition to being an amazing photographer, she is also an excellent makeup artist and loves to cook.

Mallory Staples

Regional Director of Sales

Carolinas & Northeast

Mallory Finch brings 8 years of experience from the photo and yearbook industry, with a strong focus on building lasting customer relationships. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Mallory started in sales as a broadcast radio sales representative before transitioning into school photography and yearbooks. Her passion for helping schools create meaningful experiences is at the heart of her approach to both strategy and service.

William Tucker

Director of E-commerce Marketing

William Tucker is a product-focused designer working across e-commerce, web operations, and front-end experiences. With a background in graphic design and photography, he bridges creative strategy and technical execution to deliver scalable, high-impact digital products.

Fassy Veith

Fassy is an Emmy award-winning creative leader with over 2 decades of experience shaping innovative, user-centered experiences. As a strategic collaborator, she thrives on leading cross-functional teams to tackle design challenges. With a robust background, she has navigated diverse platforms and emerging technologies such as digital, print, TV, apps, games, and e-commerce; specializing in consumer products for photography and entertainment brands.

Fassy is her nickname.

Kenny Wuerstlin

Design Director

Kenny has been a designer and creative leader for over 17 years, spanning in-house and agency roles. He’s shaped brand identities for national restaurant chains, non-profits, industrial manufacturers, financial institutions, and more. He is passionate about purposeful design, mentoring creatives, and bringing structure and imagination together to move brands forward. He loves laughing and spending time with his family and friends.
